Pickhill village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and its ancient church features an architecturally rare archway. The two hundred year old Nag's Head is a direct descendant of the country coaching inn tradition and embodies all the attractions and values of its lineage - a warm bed for the weary traveller, genuine hospitality, traditional décor and a welcoming atmosphere.

The Nag's Head has been owned and managed by the Boynton family since 1972 and is now run by Edward and Janet. Over the years, an extensive programme of activities and services for the pleasure of every type of visitor has been introduced. From tourists to local families, conference delegates to sports clubs, wedding parties to walkers there really is something for everyone.
